WMD ISP v2 is our top of the line domain name management software and is very similar to Domain Punch Professional. The main difference is that Watch My Domains ISP uses a Microsoft Access database for data storage. The use of a proper database makes it very powerful and free from many of the limitations associated with a regular flat file data storage. It can also manage tens of thousands of domain names from within a single file. You can also build on it by adding your own Access modules and data entry forms.
Watch My Domains ISP is targeted at ISPs, registrars and hosting companies who manage the domains (and monitor the corresponding websites) belonging to their customers and is mainly meant for maintaining the domain records, billing, integrating with an existing customer database etc.
Domain Punch Professional is targeted at owners of domains who want to manage their own domains (plus possibly their competitors) and also monitor the corresponding websites.
Existing customers who have purchased WMD ISP v1.x can now download a full copy of WMD ISP v2 from the owner download area. Please do not open your existing v1.x MDB files using version 2. Instead create a backup copy and then open the backup using v2.
Does Watch My Domains ISP contain all the features of Domain Punch Professional?
Yes, almost all the features of Domain Punch professional are available in Watch My Domains ISP also. However there are some feature differences (mainly because of the database back end in WMD ISP). Please see the next question for a list of supported features in WMD ISP.
What is new in version 2?

Support for more country codes and top level domains. Users can configure support for additional TLDs as in Professional version.

Configure the database fields from within the software. You can add your own fields (including field type, length, default entry, etc).

Group domains into categories and display the domains based on categories. Use SQL queries to group the domains and display them.

Monitor associated web sites (ping and http home page check). You will be able to use SQL queries to construct the monitoring rules.

Simple US Tm check for the word that makes up the domain name.

SQL query based lookups. You can configure automatic lookups based on a specific SQL query.

Create your own custom SQL queries and save them. You can use these queries when ever you want to.

What is the upgrade policy?
All WMD ISP customers who are within their free upgrade period (12 months from the date of purchase) will get a free upgrade to the new version. So if you had purchased WMD ISP after December 1, 2002 (12 months earlier) you will get a free upgrade.
If you are not eligible for a free upgrade, you will be able to purchase an upgrade for about 25-30% of the full price.
